  Flux expands Space Manufacturing Facilities

  Asnaes, Denmark May 2009

Flux has just completed the expansion of the space manufacturing area at the headquarters in Denmark.

To meet an increased demand for magnetic components within the space industry over the past few years, Flux decided last year to expand to meet these needs. The space manufacturing area has been nearly doubled during this expansion.

The manufacturing facilities consist of separate areas for winding of toroids and transformers, assembly of components, designated place for guest MIPs, a separate area for screening tests and a test area with test equipment for burn in, thermal shock and other relevant environmental tests.

Simultaneously Flux has invested in new test equipment to ensure a constant and safe production flow for the increased order quantity.

The magnetic components are used for various space applications such as Launchers, Transport Vehicles, Space Ships, The International Space Station (ISS), Communication Satellites and Scientific Satellites for Earth Observations and Space Explorations.
